Prologue

The moon is round and bright,
Which mystifies the night.
'Tis a bedazzling sight
Where light and darkness fight.

Out on this chilling night-
You alone have the sight,
Only you have the light,
Yonder sky that's bright.

Juxtapose fear and fright-
An endless night to fight.
Jaded and wearied sight,
An emptiness to light.

Entertain fear and fright.
Chance you might see a light...
End the tormenting night.
Chance you do something right.

Else,
Chance one's self you smite.

Unless you're like the lawn you're sitting on right now,
Which does not feel any pain even when trampled upon...

Unless you're like the sky you're staring at right now,
Which does not feel any shame even when mortified by the eye...

Unless you're like the night that you're in right now,
Which does not share any of its mysteries enveloped in darkness...

Unless you're like the tears falling from your eyes,
Which does not know the purpose of its existence...

Well you're like your tears. You keep falling again and again, not knowing exactly why... Or is it?
